Georgia Southern is known for having a great sport management program and is highly regarded among other colleges in Georgia, and other places. Becoming a sport management major takes a lot of work, and it is defiantly not one of the easier paths to take. I compared the sport management program at Georgia Southern to the one at Kennesaw State University. I was able to see some major differences in the required courses right off the bat. First off, Georgia Southern requires a lot more classes related to the major than Kennesaw State. Southern also requires students to take more business and mathematical related classes for the major and then once you are accepted into the sport management program; there are a lot more classes to take than at Kennesaw. There was only one class I noticed that was similar between the two schools. Although it was not required to take at Southern, at Kennesaw, public speaking is a required course for the sport management major. The actual classes for sport management are the same for both schools, but like I said before, Southern has more. I feel like since Southern requires students to take more classes and higher level classes, it is the better school to attend and it is more highly regarded among other schools.
