For a good amount of time, this question always seems to ponder my mind: Why did I choose to go to Georgia Southern? Well, for someone who wants to major in Information Technology, maybe I should have would rather went to the Georgia Institute of Technology, better known as Georgia Tech, and Georgia Tech is a technical school, which focuses a lot more on engineering and computer systems. No matter what college I decided to go to, if I wanted to major in Information Technology, the core classes were going to range from calculus to networking. One of the main reasons I decided to attend Georgia Southern University was because of money. I did not have a full scholarship or anything, so it was better to stay at home here in Statesboro and attend the university that is here. Many people do not have a sense of what major they want to graduate with during their freshman year. I was one of those people. I was undeclared for a year and half, and I had no idea of what I wanted to major in. I always loved computers, so the Information Technology major sounded like it would be a good major for me. Since the day I switched my major from undeclared to Information Technology, I have never looked back. The classes might be difficult, but I’m certain that I want to graduate from Georgia Southern with a degree in IT.
