For my major I plan on transferring to Georgia State University. The nursing program at this university is different than the one our school has to offer. At Georgia State, the nursing program accepts seventy five students into the program each fall, where Georgia Southern’s nursing programs accepts fifty students every fall. The core classes that I need to take at Georgia State are similar to Georgia southern, but not as strict with the rules. Here are the pre-requisites needed for both schools nursing programs:
Georgia State
• English 1101/1102
• Math 1101 or Math 1111
• Biol 1110K-1120K (Human Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2 w/ labs)
• Biol 2300 (Microbiology and Public Health)
• Biol 2310 (Microbiology Lab)
• Chem 1151K/1152K w/ labs
• Minimum GPA: 2.8
Georgia Southern

• Biol 2240 (Microbiology w/ lab)
• Kins 2531/2511 and Kins 2532/2512 (anatomy & physiology I and II)

All of my classes from last semester transfer to Ga state except my FYE classes. The classes I am taking over the summer at Georgia Highlands as a transient student also transfer to Ga State as well.
