My dream school was to go to the University of Georgia, both my parents went there and my grandfather was a professor there for 44 years so really to me UGA was the only option. Well when I found out that I couldn't get into UGA, I fell in love with Georgia Southern, but I want to transfer to UGA after two years here at Georgia Southern, but I want to make sure that all the credits that I currently have or will have will transfer to that college. In the past two semesters I have taken English 1101, Environmental Biology with a lab, FYE, College Algebra, American Government. This semester I am taking English 1102, US History, FYE, Psychology, and Health. What I did was I went on the UGA website and looked at the courses for my major which is Exercise Science. UGA has different transfer credit types. The first is Direct transfer for example I took English 1101 and UGA has the identical class, so that credit would transfer. A non-transferable course would be like FYE or PE would not transfer to UGA. Therefore, most of the courses that I have taken or are currently taking would in fact, transfer to UGA and would count for credit for courses that I have taken so I wouldn't have to take them again at UGA. Their Exercise Science program is also one of the best in the state, and UGA is also one of the best schools in the state. UGA would be one of the best choices for schools for me to transfer to.
